I will remember this as advice. Also, I hope you make your books available for e-readers. ^_^

Very NICE pikey.
Inspirational and validating to writers everywhere drinking mass coffee and smoking or drinking way too much and fretting over pages.

Nice angry post-it notes too.

Man, you always get songs stuck in my head... and just to top it off, I want to re-read His Dark Materials. Again. I think you did this to me with the previous installment, too.

Thanks for this. Both of these installments are acting as a sort of kick in the pants to get me working on my own (fan)fiction.

Also, did you make that post-it picture or did you find it? Cause it's pretty cool.

Re: distraction...the way I've managed to beat my multitasking tendencies is to only write/edit on my lunch break at work, on a netbook incapable of gaming or doing much other than internet and writing, without any sort of internet connection available.

Basically, it's write or stare out the window. It works. Granted, it means I only work on my book for five hours a week, max (usually less if I have to run errands during lunch), but at least it's all totally focused. ^.^

It's sad that quoting a bulk of text and saying "this" is generally not acceptable, as it's what I feel the most like doing.

But this will have to do: Especially 3 and 4 are thoroughly awesome points, but on the whole, a good read! I'm still struggling with trying to figure a way to deal with (and get) feedback, and any writer claiming he or she has never thought that their writing-in-progress sucks is lying or enviably confident (or more likely, unenviably delusional).
